Ward and Wells

Wardwells is a family business, named for our two family names. Ward and Wells. Both sides learned this work long before this land.

The Wells side goes back to South Florida. John B. Wells was a lifelong tree doctor, landscaper, and nursery owner who started the Garden Store in Boca Raton in the 1980s. We learned a lot from John. The right plant in the right place is everything. It thrives, it lasts, and it belongs.

The Ward side has spent the last 25 years landscaping and planting trees and gardens up and down the East Coast, from Hoboken to Boca Raton.

The nursery sits on five acres of pines and marsh on Black Hammock Island in Jacksonville.

We work directly with landscapers, builders, and HOAs. That keeps the property focused on growing sustainable native North Florida plants, and it builds our reputation the slow way, one job at a time.

That's the nursery we're building here. Family-owned, environmentally friendly, and simple on purpose.
